First timer
It was my first time in Lagos. I came for business purposes and my friends recommend me Golden tulip. Hotel and everything was very nice at the beginning. But then I dont know if it is my bad luck but my money is stolen from the secure box. I let the night manager know the case, and he told me they will investigate. So then, I constantly ask if I should call the police they replied no need. At the end they told me nobody enter my room so they dont know the mystery. Of course I couldnt do anything as I am foreign and have short of time. I double check everywhere think thorough and I am 100% sure I put the money inside the box. I dont know who to blame. I've gotten what I wanted and can't ask for more
I lodged in Golden Tulip Festac during Easter holiday from 29-3-2013 to 2-4-2013 with my wife and baby. If I have to describe my experience in few words I will simply say the best hotel experience in Nigeria: Affordable rates (compared to other Nigeria hotels of the same class), spacious and clean rooms with central A/C, serene environment, nice garden, swimming pool, lovely decoration, 2 bars, 1 excellent restaurant, nice gym, clinic, shop.. We really had a holiday blast and what we enjoyed the most was the children activities and the nice evening buffet at the pool terrace accompanied with live jazz... And most important was the beautiful smiles we received through well trained and mannered staff... In brief, excellent hotel for Lagos I lodged in Golden Tulip Festac during Easter holiday from 29-3-2013 to 2-4-2013 with my wife and baby. Hier kann man sich wohlfühlen :-)
Ich war in den letzten 6 Monaten 3 x je 2 Wochen in Nigeria/Lagos! Ich habe mir sehr viele Hotels der höheren Preisklasse angeschaut und war in 4 davon zu Gast! Am besten gefällt mir Golden Tulip Festac Lagos, aus diesem Grund war ich nun auch zum 2. Mal dort um meinen Urlaub mit meinem Mann zu geniessen! GoldenTulip hat eine wunderschöne PoolLandschaft fernab von jedem Stress! Auch die Lobby lädt zum Relaxen ein! alle Räume sind angenehm klimatisiert und schön eingerichtet! Es fehlt hier an Nichts! Das Essen ist okay, wobei wir Deutschen da sehr schwer zu befriedigen sind :-) Das ServiceTeam sowie die Manager des Hotels sind extrem zuvorkommend, liebevoll und freundlich! Awesome experience!!!
Started right at the reception desk with Amaka at Golden Tulip Festac, Lagos!! Very professional yet so charming and ever so helpful!
The ambiance was almost unbelievable, rooms very tidy and I got the very best value for my money's worth (an extra day).
Food was spectacular and the facilities were all world class.
Looking forward already to my next visit!!

Fair quality
Overall, the stay was comfortable.
Complaints:
1. One of the Front Desk staff was actively soliciting for a tip such that I actually felt harassed.
2. There was a smell in Room 463 that I couldn't tell if it was the scent of the chemicals used in cleaning the room or dampness. There was a damp patch on the roof close to the door.
3. The water leak in the lobby (in front of the gift shop) dropped the hotel a few notches.
These complaints can be easily corrected. Overall, the stay was comfortable.

My last stay
My last visit to Lagos I enjoyed the hotel.Though I booked online and informed that I will be in same room with my younger brother but to my chagrin on the morning of our checking out we were told that the complimentary breakfast was for one person after lodging in a room worth 190dollars.I seriously protested and brother visiting from the US was highly disappointed.I wish to state here that your operations should be improved upon.Thanks My last visit to Lagos I enjoyed the hotel.Though I booked online and informed that I will be in same room with my younger brother but to my chagrin on the morning of our checking out we were told that the complimentary breakfast was for one person after lodging in a room worth 190dollars.I... read more

They employees were attentive to our needs
I made reservation for my wife and child to spend the night at this hotel on October 23rd 2012 and they were satisfied with the services they received at this location. I recommend this hotel and will stay with them when next I visit Lagos, Nigeria.

Some facilities like ATM machine did not work....
I am from India. During my stay at Lagos, I was carrying one International Credit Card as well as one Traveller Card (Debit Card in USD) which did not work in your hotel. Also the ATM machine in your Hotel lobby was in non-working condition. I had great difficulty and I had to manage my stay with cash borrowed from my colleagues who travelled with me. I am from India. Des efforts considérables doivent être apportés au service à la clientèle en général, et à l'honnêteté des employés d'acceuil et de facturation en particulier, notamment pour empêcher l'utilisation frauduleuse des cartes de crédit des clients, réduire les facturations erronées, banir les sollicitations intempestives des pourboires.
